Costa Rican Minister of Foreign Affairs Manuel A. González Sanz will speak about Costa Rica’s foreign policy issues as a small nation state positioned in Central America. The Minister will address the case adjudicated in the International Court of Justice between Nicaragua and Costa Rica over a disputed territory and how Costa Rica has used the global governance body as a foreign policy tool. The Minister will address the ways in which this tropical nation of nearly 5 million people is addressing its foreign interests in global governance.
